Wedding mementos from a tornado victims home in Illinois were discovered nearly an hour away from the original location this week. The tornado took the items around 50 miles to Indiana, toppling trees and damaging homes in the process. The harsh winds also carried priceless memories across the state line. Somehow, the couples wedding day memories-- an engagement picture, wedding day invitations and the bride's garter-- ended up on Tracy Vinson's Hazleton, Indiana farm--still intact and inside a plastic bag. I was like, I gotta [sic] find these people. this might be the one thing they have left from their home, said Vinson. Vinsons neighbor initially found the bag but wasnt sure what to do with it. Eventually, he gave the bag to Vinson who posted it to Facebook. I had tons of friends messaging me and it didn't take maybe an hour and a half and we found who the people were." After dozens of shares and comments, a family friend messaged her, saying she believed the items belonged to Charlie and Kim Jacobs of Crossville, Illinois. Vinson said I was like, in tears and I haven't even met these people yet. I could imagine, if it happened to me, I would definitely want someone to." Now, she plans to reach out to the Jacobs family this week.

Alistair Grimason, two, was hit by a bullet as he slept in his pram after a gunfight broke out in a cafe in Foca, Turkey, in 2003. Akyuz was convicted of his killing. The toddler's dad David Grimason, from East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire said: "He was sentenced to 58 years with a maximum of 36, so I really expected he was going to spend a long time in jail. PA The toddler's mum, Ozlem, had been enjoying a family day out while visiting her Turkish parents "I don't take any joy in what has happened. I would rather that he was in prison and being punished for what he did. "I was told that he was at his wedding and stepped outside for a cigarette and someone came along and shot him. "It's a big story over in Turkey because the man that killed Alistair has been killed in the same manner I suppose." David has since split up from Alistair's Turkish-born mother Ozlem, who has moved back to Izmir. PA Akyuz received a life jail sentence but was released early He added: "Ozlem has moved back to Turkey recently, so there was an opportunity they could have bumped in to each other. It is a horrible thought.
